What happens during an extension consultation?
You may be wondering how this whole process works… how do you schedule your appointment when you’re ready? Or what if you just want to ask some questions before you decide to fully commit to getting hair extensions?
We have TONS of information on our pricing and Extensions tabs on this website. When you’re ready to talk to us, the next step is filling out our Hair Extension Pre-Consultation Form .
Before we even have a consultation we like to have everyone fill out our consultation form to get more information about your hair and what your hair goals are.
There are spots on the form to upload pics of what your hair looks like currently and spots to upload color and length inspiration pics as well.
At least half of our clients are not local, so it’s not always easy to drop in, so we mainly do phone consultations but we have been known to do in salon consultations as well.
Helpful consultation Tips:
-Write down any and all questions that you have, it can be easy to blank out and forget what you were going to ask.
-If we need more clarification on what your hair looks like currently we may ask for more pictures to give our best recommendations during your consultation. Most of the time we’re trying to see what color your hair is currently. Sending old photos or filtered photos is a no-go. Clear pictures of your CURRENT hair is also what helps us in formulating color when we’re selecting base colors of the extensions that we’re most likely going to use for you. We color prep tons of extension hair before you come for your first appointment, so we can ensure the best color blend.
-The most helpful photos to submit of your hair:
(Photo From the front) take a selfie in your car in the daytime, making sure to get all of your hair in the picture.
(From the back): have someone take a pic of the back of your hair while standing next to a window in the daytime.
Indirect daylight is the best light to truly see your current hair color and hair density. More than anything we want to be able to give you the best recommendations and clear pictures help us in doing that! ✅
-Book your consultation at a time that’s truly conducive to having a good phone conversation... if plans change or you’ve changed your mind altogether we totally get it! Just shoot us a text within 48 hours of your consultation and we can reschedule! We value your time and ask that you value ours as well. Please read our cancellation policy on the “SALON POLICY” tab which also applies to our consultations.
- Our consultations aren’t high pressure sales situations. We’re here to present you with the facts, answer your questions & let you form your own decision from there. We require a $500 non refundable deposit to book a new extension install appointment but will NOT try to influence your decision in any way.
Overall, these consultations are for both parties to make sure that we’re the right fit and to ensure that the extensions that we offer are a good fit for your lifestyle! Hair extensions are a luxury experience. Our job is to make sure that you have the best experience possible and that starts with the consultation. ✨✨
